Well what a load of shite. After yesterdays bad run in the main where I dwindled chips away missing everything then went out to a bad move with only half my starting stack left I didnt think it was possible to run worse.
Played the $12 k/o and went out about halfway down the field, but was really looking forward to the $50 event with 7500 starting stack and over $110,000 for first prize. Missed all the early flops as usual and got my first premium hand after an hour - QQ in early position. BB called my raise and I C-bet representing the A on the flop and he called. Checked it down after that on a dodgy board and was glad I got away with only leaking a few chips as he was never folding his AQ. Next decent hand was 99 and my raise got 2 callers as did my C bet on a 864 two club board. Turn was a 2 and my next bet saw me re raised all in so I reluctantly folded as the only thing I was beating was a flush draw and his re raise smelt like a set. Low stack I then won a flip with AJ v 66 to get back in it and then made a good call with 66 which was up against a short stack's 22. 2 on the flop and I was left wondering why I never seem to run good when it matters. Shoved my last 2500 with blinds 140/280 with JJ from the SB when there had been about 3 limpers. Of course one of them had AA and I'm left feeling pretty gutted.
Still, there are plenty of big tourneys to play whenever I want to and at least I am consistently getting money in the bank with plenty of medium cashes and small victories on Ladbrokes.
So that's the end of the FTOPS and probably the end of this blog. I might start another just to keep track of results or continue this one.

Just over 2 hours into the RAZZ and the blinds are getting higher and the pots a lot bigger. Make or break time and sitting on 7k from a starting stack of 4000 I just lost a very big pot that was raised and re raised before 4th. I started with A42 which turnjed into A24k3 so there was no way I was getting out of it next 2 cards came JJ and I was beaten by an average 8 high hand. That put me down to 3304 chips but as I am typing I have got back up to just under 5k with the average 5996. Not exactly comfortable but with a couple of decent hands I could be right back in it.
Came 4th in a €50 f/o on Ladbrokes from 75 runners for €356 which wasn't a bad result. Bad day in the other tournies though so not up by that much.
Time to put some footy bets on for tomorrow and hopefully find a hand in the RAZZ.
Update after 3 hours: back up to 10.3 k with the average stack at 11.6 which puts me 260/526 with 176 paid form 1526 runners. It's really a question of pot control and knowing when to get involved because the ante is 150 and the pots get big very quickly. Couple of decent hands in the next ten minutes and I will be flying. Couple of outdraws and it's beer then sleep.
Well that was a bit disappointing. Decent starting hands turning into dross equals a rapidly decreasing stack. I hit the fold button and got out of a couple of tricky situations and was down to 3.5k when I effectively committed myself pre flop with A35 - next card was a ten and I was still ahead of the opponent's K567 but the poker gods decided that is wasn't to be and I was outdrawn and finished 439th.
FTOPS not going very well really but I amm running well elsewhere so overall poker is more than paying for itself so can't really complain. Can't justify buying into tomorrow's 2 day event for $266 although I have a hefty chunk on Odds and Evens in the Ayr gold cup so if that wins I may reconsider. Doubt it though as I could do with a day playing less and I will play a couple of tourneys on Ladbrokes as well as the $10 PLO high rebuy FTOPS which might be fun. Never really played PLO but had a dabble today on Ladbrokes coming 5th in a 100 runner tournament and 13th in an 80 runner $10 rebuy which I only went out of through stupidity so maybe I stand a chance of making it through the first couple of hours.

Just played the FTOPS 6 seater $20 freezout - didn't have a bad game but finished 1970 from over 8000 with 1080 paid. Going along ok then lost a blind war against a much shorter stack when we both flopped top pair. Sat around waiting for an opportunity then lost the race that I was looking for. Can't win em all. Now looking forward to RAZZ later on which I feel I am very good at - it's certainly my best game in HORSE so barring some sick bad luck i'm confident of a good run in it.

Enjoyed the Omaha Heads up more than I thought I would, winning the first 2 games and only missing out on the money by one match. 3rd guy I played hit everything and got a huge lead, although if he hadn't hit the river to knock me out I would have been back even in chips. Not too bothered as I had another good day on Ladbrokes coming 6th in the hilo rebuy and winning a small tourney, the €5 hilo with 32 runners. Small profit on the horses too so a winning day overall. Ladbrokes and Full Tilt bankrolls looking healthy and I bought into the remaining FTOPS events as well as cashing out.
Wide awake and slightly bored so I think I will play the FL FTOPS. I'm not usually a masochist but as I will be awake watching some comedy or other anyway I may as well have some cards in front of me too.
Update: 4 hours into the fixedlimit holdem and I am sitting on 85000 chips from a starting stack of 5000. This puts me 11/513 with 390 paid from 3562 starters. It's been a bit more fun than I had thought, especially once the blinds got reasonably high. Playing 6 handed helps too as it's pretty easy to keep tracks of who is doing what. Once I had a few chips it's been all about position and aggression and the odd lucky flop. FL is a horrible game sometimes so not counting any chickens but with a bit of luck I could go quite deep.
Came 2nd in a Ladbrokes €10 turbo for €81 and also won £40 betting on Argentinian football so staying awake has proved profitable even if the FTOPS goes wahoonie shaped.
Crashed and burned in the end - got down to the bubble quite quickly and after that it went crazy. 6 handed and with the average stack around 15 BB's everyone had a pretty wide range for raising and re raising. First bit of damage was done whenn AQ lost on a Q high flop to J8 and after that I just couldn't hit a thing. No regrets as there wasn't much I could do about it. Ended up 212th to just about double my money.

Had a good run in the hilo but finished just out of the money. Up and down throughout but didn't get many opportunities to accumulate chips. Looking back I could possibly have been a bit more aggressive but then again that probably would have meangt getting them in bad and trusting to luck.
Wasn't intending to play the 6 seater $30 rebuy but I had just reached the final table of a 206 runner no limit hi lo tourney, also on full tilt, so decided to give it a go, try and double at the first opportunity or crash out without rebuying. My all in pre flop with AK ran into K5 off suit and when he hit his 5 I decided to cut my losses rather than end up spending cash on rebuys and add ons. Won the hi lo for $535 so a good evening nonetheless.
Running out of cash on Ladbrokes so might have to deposit there tomorrow as the FTOPS schedule isn't up to much - PL Omaha HU or FL holdem. Might have a go at the Omaha for a laugh though.

WEll after crashing out of the HORSE I had a few beers and decided to tilt off a bit of cash by entering a $1.25+ 0:25 turbo rebuy satellite to the FTOPS main event. Quadrupled up first hand with KK and after taking the add on was 3rd from 40 odd runners with 3 entries to be won. Cruised to the FT but then got a bit tooo aggressive and was 4/6. Couple of others went out and there were 4 left - 2 bit stacks and me and another guy on 30k with blinds 1500/3000. When the other shorty limped onto my BB I shoved all in - if he folds I am now at a distinct advantage. HE insta called with AQ - he had trapped me perfectly and the flop of AJ7 was no good for my 34 off. Turn 5 and river 4 gave me a straight and it's lucky there is no chat on satellite FT's as I think I may have been in for some abuse.
Either way the evening wasn't entirely wasted as I won a $50 seat for only $3 and I am now looking forward to the hi lo where 5 of us have formed a small syndicate so if I go out early at least I have 3 per cent of 4 of the other runners.
